Seeing is NOT Believing

That is the news out of a recent poll in US, which found that in families with obese children under the age of 11, only 13 per cent of parents rated their child as being overweight. Even more alarming was that less than 10 per cent of parents with obese kids said they were "very concerned" about their child's weight. "It's critical to address obesity in the childhood years," says Dr Matthew M Davis, head of the National Pool on Children's Health by C.S. Mott Children's Hospital. "But in order to address childhood obesity at home, parents must first recognise that a child is not a healthy weight for their height.
