If you think buying junk food in small packages will help you eat less, think again!!

Two new studies show some people actually consume more calories when unhealthy food portions and packages are smaller because they perceive it to be “diet” food.

Participants in a study at the Technical University of Lisbon in Portugal watched sitcoms and were told the study was about evaluating ads. Different sized bags of potato chips accompanied the viewing, and the small packets were devoured more readily. “Because they are considered to be innocent pleasures, small packages may turn out to be sneaky small sins,” the researchers concluded.
