Unfortunately, we can’t all move to the Mediterranean, but researchers from the University of Melbourne conducted a new study and found that observing Mediterranean Diet could help you ward off diabetes. “Our results suggest that avoiding an eating pattern including meat and fatty foods, and favoring a pattern that is high in salad and cooked vegetables could reduce the risk of developing type 2 diabetes,” Dr Allison Hodge says.
